How to Calculate MTH Series Stud Length

Calculating the correct MTH Series stud length

To calculate the correct Siri MTH panjang stud, first select the receptacle and determine the thicknesses used in that receptacle’s formula.

The calculation is not the same for every receptacle. Depending on the selected Type A to G receptacle, the total thickness T may include the removable-panel thickness, frame thickness or a minimum installation dimension.

Once T has been calculated, use the stud-length table for the exact receptacle type to find the required length number.

Type B receptacles

Type B receptacles also use the combined panel and frame thickness. However, frame thickness F must be at least 0.75 mm.

Type D receptacles

Type D receptacles do not use the complete frame thickness in the stud-length calculation. Instead, add panel thickness P and installation dimension X.

What changes when the MTH assembly is sealed?

A sealed MTH assembly requires the MTHGIR gasket dalaman dan MTHGOR outer gasket.

According to the supplied calculation guidance, the gasket arrangement adds 0.75 mm to the calculated total thickness.

Select the stud style after calculating the length

The length number is only one part of the complete stud reference. After calculating it, select the configuration required for the application.

In the Type A table, 4.50 mm falls within the 3.80 hingga 4.60 mm range. The required stud length number is therefore 5.

The 4.50 mm frame exceeds the 0.75 mm minimum. In the Type B table, 11.70 mm falls within the 11.40 hingga 12.20 mm range, giving stud length number 16.

The result is above the 9.9 mm minimum for Type C receptacles. In the Type C table, 13.70 mm corresponds to stud length number 6, covering total thicknesses from 13.70 hingga 14.50 mm.

The full 8.00 mm frame thickness is not included in the Type D formula. In the Type D table, 8.65 mm falls within the 8.40 hingga 9.15 mm range, giving length number 11.
